Hello! Some really good things are happening!
Have you found that if you move toward something, it will move toward you? “Jim Rohn”
INTERVIEW
I have recorded a live music session with a great company called Fresh Independence, you can find them here as well on FaceBook! They are all about the music and bands that you love to love! Kim and Meagan are beautiful inside and out and have a genuine excitement about music and looking to help indie bands however they can,,,because they love music. Lets figure out how we can support them, even if it’s just donated time, music and pretty smiles for now.
We recorded the interview at HUSH Studio in Burnaby BC, thank you Vic Levak. Kim & Megan were fabulous and the song Human (recorded at HUSH Studio) was filmed from many different angles and several takes. Included is the lullabye I made up for my daughter Truly Vincent that I still sing to her each night. I’m looking forward to sharing it with you all!
LIVE HEIDI VINCENT
I played an open mic at Charqui’s last night in Kitsilano hosted by Trent Savage. What was supposed to be a simple “girl on guitar” turned into a wonderful mini session with Trent Savage (Daisy Chain) on guitars and Doug “Boom Boom” Quiring on his kit, it sounded so large! We had never played nor rehearsed together and it sounds good! It was a great time and those boys are talented musicians.

FOLLOW UP ALBUM
I’m working towards a follow up album to “Something Borrowed, Something Blue” (iTunes). One of the songs from this New EP will have a video following!
CROWD FUNDING PLATFORM
There is a crowd funding platform I will be signing on with shortly. I am looking forward to succeeding with this goal with support and help of pledges toward my music and video from my fans. More to come about this as it unfolds.
CONTEST IS OPEN – APRIL 2013
There will be a contest at the success of this EP. I’ll need a name for the album. Contest is open now! Start now and send me your “EP ideas” in the contact fiels at www.heidivincent.com. You will get the very FIRST EP before anyone else. Even better, I will name my EP with your title creation and credit you on the album in print. This EP will be sold internationally with my other albums on iTunes, Zulu Records and other such distributors. You and I could exist in peoples hearts and homes all over the world. COOL!
The next Heidi Vincent Quarterly is not until July 2013! Please keep in touch and updated at my official site with recent news, music and blogs!

I received a flyer in my mailbox calling for auditions for the 2013 Variety’s Got Talent Fundraising event. I am so excited! They knew where to send the invite! Someone at Socan must have told them where to find me! I prepare the song and video in my head. I make dinner and play for a while with Truly and off to bed for her so I can focus on my plans. I read the flyer’s instructions: Pick a song, record it and upload it to them at the website. Easy right? So with Truly in bed I decorate my den so it doubles for a studio type backdrop and I press record and record and record again. I do this 24 takes. Some tracks I fumbled the guitar, some I fumbled my own words, some out of pitch and I just keep recording until I get the golden take! Ready, steady, go. 3 or 4 days later with same routine…
Got the take I think would be good! I get back to the site and start the upload process… and read the rules and regulations because they would be good to know,, right? and I come to this point in the regulations “contest open to BC residents (check-I’m a BC’an) ages 16 to 23″ oooooh! I scramble,,, could I pass for 23? … uhm, close but no lol
So here is where I upload the video for your viewing pleasure and post these beautiful words “Success is walking from failure to failure with no loss of enthusiasm.” Winston Churchill.
Well it wasn’t really a failure was it? With the exception of failing to read before I struck out on my venture… but if I had I wouldn’t have created the video. I wouldn’t have re-connected with an emotion of “this is where I can do most good, this is where I belong.” So I felt…. inspiration! Something I lose every now and then when life hits hard.
“What if you, too, were to greet every interaction in your life with the question ‘What’s the potential opportunity that this is?” Jack Canfield. “Don’t worry about failures, worry about the chances you miss when you don’t even try.”
So please go to the and donate or volunteer; there are so many ways to help. I also have a list here on my site with other charities you can support, ones that mean a lot to me,,, and to the recipient.
And, I’ll share with you my inspiration of this story that created this video of a song called “Star.”
Bless you all,
Miss V
Hello boys and girls
I am in need of an updated music “one sheet.”
I will give two of my albums away “Happy Now” & “Something Borrowed, Something Blue” to the creator of the work I pick.
I have had many of my songs in film and TV as well as receiving airplay with FM, AM, Podcasts, Satellite and Internet Radio.
Please private message me with your contact information and I will send all pdf’s, current one sheet and pertinent information to you via email.
I would be looking to receive the completed product by Sunday evening just to add a challenge to the scenario.
! Xoxo thank you all and Good Luck to the contestants!
